Following on from our arrival in Alice Springs, we headed out toward Uluru.
We did the Uluru base walk, which takes you around the entire rock. It is 10.6km in length and took us about 2.5 hours including stopping for lots of photos! I’m sure everyone knows what Uluru and Kata Tjuta looks like, and there are various ideas about how they were formed, so I won’t say much more. The rest of this blog post will be a photo journal of our day in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. All I will say is that being in the presence of something so powerful is itself a powerful experience, and one which the following photos do absolutely no justice to at all.
